InTouch already provides powerful reporting on Email Campaigns including a range a key statistics to understand the effectiveness of your email campaigns such as open rates, links clicked and so on. Now you can view the actual Return on investment for each Email Campaign you send via InTouch. Plus it's dead simple!

ROI is calculated using total revenue generated from the campaign and the cost of the campaign. You can now directly assign the cost to an email campaign within InTouch. The revenue for the campaign comes from:

  • InTouch Sales: Simply add a sale to InTouch and link it to your email campaign
  • Google Analytics: We can pull back the e-commerce transaction and goal values to provide the combined Google Revenue

The ROI is then calculated as follows: (Total Campaign Revenue – Campaign Cost) / Campaign Cost * 100 = ROI%. The higher the better!

Link a Sale to an Email Campaign

To include a sale in the ROI calculation for an email campaign, simply set the source of the sale as Email Marketing and select your campaign.

Within your campaign remember to set any associated cost of your campaign in the ROI tab of your campaign report once you've sent it.

Authorise Google

To include Google Analytics data you need to link your InTouch account with your Google Analytics account. Again, we've made this very simple. Within the Integration tab within your Settings area click Authorize via Google.

Now login to your Analytics account and click "Grant Access". Yes, it's that simple.


From here on in whenever you create a new email campaign just click tick box for "Enable Google Analytics Tracking" and we'll ensure all the tracking code is in place when your email is sent out.

To get the full benefit of Google Analytics Integration you will need to have some "goals" with associated values and/or transaction values linked to products on your website set up with your Google Analytics account.
