Why? Oh Why? Oh Why?
Those of you who’ve worked with me on goal setting will know that I’ve got some pretty powerful strategies to help you work out what you want and keep you motivated.
There’s something that’s cropped up in at least three quite separate conversations I’ve had in the first couple of weeks of this year. And when something keeps cropping up, it pays you to look at it notice that there’s a message there for you to do something about.
That thing is Vision Boards. What you do is find pictures of things that represent your goals – it could be the house or the car, it could be experiences or feelings you want to have. Look in magazines, look online, anywhere! You could even draw them yourself.
You then stick or pin the images to a board or somewhere else you can look at them regularly – one of my clients turned their fridge into a vision board.
Now you’ve got your goals up somewhere that you can see them, imagine them. You can get in touch with how it will feel to have them, and who you will be and what you can do as a result.
This is your big WHY: it will keep you motivated and focussed on getting the results you want, so you’ll be able to make better decisions in each moment.
I’d love for you to share your vision board with the rest of this community, so post a picture of it on the “Dave Cordle - Personal Development Coach” page on facebook by clicking HERE.
Wishing you success this month. I’m off to create my vision board.
