I Am In Charge Of My Mind
I am in charge of my mind ...and therefore my results and choice of action and re-action in every situation.
The key word in here is “choice”. For most of us, presented with the statement above we’d say “yeah! Of course I’m in charge of my mind”; and the fact is that you are, but very often you probably give that power away.
How often do you find yourself saying things like “you make me so mad”, or “he/she always makes me feel so [add your own words here]!”. Who’s in charge then? You’re giving someone else the power to make you feel a certain way.
So the feeling is there to tell you something’s not right for you, but it IS your choice how to respond. You can choose to respond in the way you always have by getting mad or whatever, OR, you could choose to act/re-act differently. You can choose how to feel and how to act in every moment.
So this month I invite you to notice:
- Notice how often you are blaming other people for how you feel
- When you do notice, ask yourself “how else could I choose to feel and act now?”. Try to think of at least three options.
- Then take one of those other options
Using this mindset alone could be transformational for you in terms of feeling in control of your life and reducing stress. Have fun with it and remember to look out for next month’s bulletin when you’ll get another powerful mindset to try out.
Wishing you happiness and success.
